Guy Melvin was born in Nicetown, Philadelphia, and lives in Brooklyn. He is a 2026 Pen America Emerging Voices Fellow, a 2025 Kimbilio Fiction Fellow, and a 2025 Sundress Publications Resident. His fiction has been published in ANMLY, Sundog Lit, A Long House Magazine, and forthcoming in Callaloo. His short story 'Champagne Pools' was a 2023 Finalist for Best of the Net.
